Looking for tutoring that will build confidence and skills?

Are you looking for a customizeable tutoring program for your child that meets THEIR needs? Is your child struggling to keep up in school and needs tutoring that is more than just extra practice and worksheets? Do they learn best with interactive and hands-on teaching?

Our tutoring program provides one-on-one tutoring that is designed to meet your child’s individual needs. Our tutors work with YOU to find the best ways to teach your child. Our expertise is in implementing brain based games, movement, and hands on experiences to gain skills and find success. We also tutor English, math, and ACT prep alongside our brain training program if needed.

This program is perfect for you if:

  • Your child has a diagnosed learning disability or special need, such as dyslexia, ADHD, down syndrome, autism, sensory processing disorder, and others.

  • Your child is struggling to succeed in school and needs a boost in English or Math skills, but your’e not sure how to help!

  • Your child learns best with hands-on and experiential learning, so tutoring with worksheets and drills hasn’t done the trick.

  • Your child would benefit from building skills like attention, working memory, visual and auditory processing, in turn strengthening academics as well.

Tutoring Information

How do we get started?

Set up a phone call or in-person meeting!

Then we can discuss all your questions and schedule your evaluation.

What does the enrollment process look like?

We always start with an evaluation. This is a multi-step process:

  1. First, parent paperwork and a meeting.

  2. Then we meet with your child and do an in person skills assessment.

  3. Depending on the type of tutoring you plan to enroll in, we’ll send you placement testing for reading, math and handwriting, as well as ask for samples of your child’s work.

  4. An online cognitive skills assessment call The Gibson Test.

  5. Lastly, we take all this information and discuss it with you in our goal planning session. You then receive a write up of the evaluation and goals.

  6. Now you’re ready to start! Once this process is complete, you’ll do enrollment paperwork and get started!

What curriculum do you use?

We use a variety of curriculum to meet the unique needs of your child. Some of our favorites include:

  1. Our own Success Training resources as well as games and online programs.

  2. Equipping Minds Cognitive Therapy Curriculum

  3. Lindamood Bell Resources

  4. Diane Craft Brain Integration

  5. Pyramid of Potential Reflex Integration

  6. Soundsory Listening Program

  7. Math U See and Spelling You See

  8. Shiller Math

  9. Handwriting Without Tears

  10. All About Reading and All About Spelling

  11. and more!

What subjects do you tutor?

In tutoring, we focus on Success Training. Success training uses games, movement, and targeted exercises to build up working memory, attention, visual and auditory skills, logic and reasoning, and more. It also includes listening therapy and primitive reflex integration.

You may also sign up for English, math, or ACT prep tutoring in addition to Success Training.

What is the time commitment?

We see students 2-3 days a week for at least 50 sessions.

How do you schedule one-on-one sessions?

You will be paired with a tutor based on your availability and theirs. Once you have an assigned tutor, you’ll work together to schedule sessions. We use Acuity scheduling. Payments for sessions are also processed through Acuity.

How much does it cost?

Evaluations for tutoring students are $300. This includes the evaluation process as well as materials needed for tutoring and at home practice.

Sessions are $50 for 1 hr, or $70 for 1.5 hours if adding English or Math to your tutoring sessions.

Do you have experience with my child’s diagnosis?

We have lots of experience with a wide variety of diagnoses. These include ADHD, dyslexia, autism, anxiety, PANDAS, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, ODD, OCD, Sensory processing disorder, auditory processing disorder, cerebellar ataxia, hearing impairment, and more!
